Dory Skemp is a full-time Realtor who works closely with her clients during the largest transactions of their lives to help them make the best possible decisions. Dory thrives on the daily challenge to come up with creative and innovative ways to share her 30 years of cumulative knowledge about buying and selling houses -- and everything else associated with them.
On the surface, Dory's professional careers in higher education and real estate seem miles apart, but, in fact, they have many similarities. Set against a backdrop of detailed paperwork, regulations, contracts, and applications, both careers have allowed her to work closely with people to understand their needs and to assist them to achieve their goals.
Dory's role today is to assist her clients and confidently navigate them through the maze of figuring out the answer to their biggest question: "How do I buy or sell my house?"
Because Rhode Island has an abundance of historic properties over 100 and 200 years old and because Dory is living in one of them herself, her specialties naturally include "Real Estate Sales in Historic Properties". Having a Bachelor's degree in Historic Preservation also gives her a special knowledge in the architecture and significance of historic properties, while also keeping in mind the realistic needs and responsibilities of owning and living in any house, whether brand new or historic.
